kutku
family business
One day, dad Maciek came up with the crazy idea of designing, manufacturing and selling toys made of natural materials, just like in the good old days, of wood and metal.
Mom Marta was immediately appointed chief treasurer, and son Peter Boris was appointed head of quality control. Grandmother Mariola took the position of chief production manager, and Aunty Diana took charge of marketing.
Our mission
90% of worldwide’s toys are made of plastic. According to worldcounts.com, the toy industry uses 40 tons of plastic for every $1 billion earned from toy sales.
kutku is a brand of toys made of almost 99% natural materials. This 1% is an acrylic plate with a batch number on the back of each toy proving its originality. In the future, the plate will be replaced by an equivalent made of natural material. Each toy is sanded, painted and glued by hand.
Each kutku frame is a collector’s item with a unique number.
kutku ‘s mission is to create toys that shape a child’s sense of aesthetics in a healthy spirit. kutku toys are interactive frames with a carefully designed, minimalistic composition and a color scheme to match any interior. The frames decorate the child’s room and at the same time provide the joy of being able to move and rotate the elements of the composition. In addition, a composition composed of several frames, the child can shape according to his taste, creating his environment.
We hold dear the emotional bond that can be formed between the toy and the child, so that play is not a momentary pleasure, trivial and quickly forgotten.
Dad Maciek – a designer – draws inspiration from memories of his childhood. He grew up surrounded by images that worked very much on his imagination. He saw them every day and every day he discovered something new and interesting about them.
Let our children grow up not in the midst of hundreds of plastic, noisy, mechanical and often disposable toys, but with a dozen or so that are calming and promote focus and attention, while being environmentally friendly.
